UL’s Great Big Tree

The Lebanese Cedar in front of Plassey House has been dead for the past few years. The tree has now to be removed for safety reasons.

    Ah no. Tat tree was a stable and will be missed greatly. I hope they make some bit of use out of it, I’d hate to think that the one think which has linked the campus to its past, aside from Plassey house, will be just used as firewood. Perhaps a trophy or for a couple of honorary degrees, some piece could be commissioned from the wood.
    Such a pity to see it go :-(. another link gone.
